This year, Newfoundland and Labrador Cheerleading Athletics will be offering one scholarship valued at $250.00 to a grade 12 cheerleader who is planning on continuing his or her education at a recognized post-secondary institution.

To apply for this scholarship, please fill out an application form and send it along with two (2) references, one of which MUST be from a cheerleading coach or teacher advisor, a current official transcript of highschool marks, proof of acceptance into a post-secondary institution and a personal statement of 250-500 words answering the following question:

“How has cheerleading been an important influence in your life (ie. what have you learned?) and how has it helped prepare you for post-secondary study?”

Applications will be graded on a 50-point scale as follows:

• Academic Transcript: 20 points
• References (2): 10 points each
• Application and Personal Statement: 10 points
