The Newfoundland & Labrador Cheerleading Athletics (NLCA) was re-established in 2002 in St. John's by Tiffany Brien. Its executive of 17 people, currently have over 700 members and represents teams from over 25 schools from St. John’s to Goose Bay. The NLCA have also started an Senior Co-ed National competing team (NLCA Rock) with 38 members, as well they are in the process of starting Newfoundland’s first High School National competing all-star team.
